When the liquid metal start to solidify, the hydrogen is forced to release out and form the bubbles at the surface and the inside. By observing the bubble and the surface shape, we can measure the hydrogen content according to the experience

Scot Porosity Meter is easy to use and fast result. It is best applied to test the hydrogen before each cast, especially for cast the alloy ingot.
